Why should I get a videographer?

Photographs are essential to a wedding. But photos can only
do so much. Photography can’t capture dialogue, speeches,
jokes, or show moments as they happen. Without video footage,
you’ll always be left to fill in the blanks. A good videographer
captures all these moment, so they are locked away for posterity.

What is the advantage of having two cameras?

Using two cameras creates far more interesting film. It allows
us to film from different angles and field depths: from long shots
to close ups. When we edit the different shots together in real
time, it makes your film look 100% more impressive.

During ceremonies and speeches, it makes particular difference
having two camera coverage. Single camera footage can get quite dull over a thirty minute ceremony. Whereas, a second camera can get new angles, plus extra shots of guests, family members and the bridal party.

Will there be large, bright flood lights?

We use the latest HD cameras with exposure settings that work well under low light. We won’t use flood lights at your wedding.

How long will it take to get my film?

We aim to present you with a finished edit of your film within
eight weeks of your wedding.

Do we get to pick the music for our film?

We will ask you to provide us with 5-10 songs. We will
suggest which ones we think will work, and may offer extra options as well. But of course you get the final say!

How do you record audio?

Good audio is vital. We use the best gear available,
and have four different recording methods.

FIrstly, we use radio microphones. These are tiny recording microphones that attach to a groom's tie. Radio mikes capture every word from the bride and groom, with perfect clarity.

Secondly, we use a Rode Gun microphone. This is a specialised microphone for clear, close range or ambient audio. It attaches
to the camera unseen, and is great for guest interviews.

Thirdly, we can connect directly into the sound desk at the reception to capture speeches straight from the PA.

Finally, our primary camera captures excellent ambient sound through it's built in microphone, so nothing is ever lost.

What is the difference between edited and unedited?

Some videographers will have “raw” or “dumped to tape”
versions of your wedding. We don't offer raw footage.
Everything watchable will be edited into your full length video.
It makes viewing better for you, and lets us to do a better job.

How do I pay?

If you decide to hire us, we request a 1/3 deposit to confirm
your booking. Two weeks before the wedding we require a second payment, and the final 1/3 of your payment is due on completion of your film. When you book a wedding with us, we'll provide you with all the payment information, as well as a worksheet to fill out containing your details and preferences for the day.
